SEN

Special Educational Needs (SEN) is very important within our setting. We have two qualified SENCo’s to help support your children with their learning and development. We carry out observations to highlight where the child might need extra support. Our children’s keyworker will then support the child with an IEP (Individual Education Plan) and record all the child’s development in their progress record. We share a one page profile with parents to discuss the child’s interests and individual needs, which then leads to how best support the individual child.

We are able to support children with an EHC (Educational, Health and Care plan) or SEN support and staff have been updated with the new SEND reform. We work in partnership with SENDiass and SENDirect who can signpost any parents wishing for more support in this area.

We follow the updated SEN Code of Practice, which shows an increased emphasis on the views of parents and children.
